The Crimson Thread: A Retelling of "Rumpelstiltskin" (Once Upon a Time) - Suzanne Weyn

Copy obtained from: Amazon.com
Date Read: 12/17/09
Rating: **** (out of 5 scale)
Observations: This has been one of my long time favorite collections of books. I was a big "fairy tale" child so I adore any fairy tale style books and these fairy tales are amazing! I'll admit I wasn't too familiar with the story of Rumpelstiltskin but I love how this story played out. It was definitely a treat to see it set in 1880 NYC and the characters were so believable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I am currently working on getting caught up with this collection b/c I have neglected it for a couple years :-/ Bought 5 books last week and will attempt to review each one.
Sorry I neglected this blog, I started it with good intentions but then got distracted w/ wedding planning and my wedding blog. But from here are out I will be more diligent about posting as I read :) Thanks for bearing with me...

Date Read: 5/14/09
Rating: **** (out of 5 scale)
Observations: Very quick read... only 108 pages but a very compelling story. Definitely one of those stories that stays with you. Beautiful writing style especially for being translated from another language. Quite pleased with it and plan to check out more by this author.
